Why do you feel that you only have one chance to decide what you want to be? If you're not sure, then talk to people or go for what you would like to do , rather than what pays the most or offers a fancy title.

Like the others, most of my experience has been on a pratical side. However, I tried my hand at a few things, before I found a long term career.

Good Luck!

You are damn right about the "impressive titles"

One of our clients has got all national managers.. Even the tea boy is called national head I think ;)

I think my job is a good mixture of what I learnt and school and what I picked as experience...but I agree with John - grads are running after "titles" rather than "content"...

John it does.

There are times when I can't talk about certain technical stuff because I never got a chance to study but I make up for that with what I learnt in real life :)

My knowledge doesn't come from books.

@britexpat

thanks for your post but

i will only have one chance to decide what i want to be then every thing counts on that ( the type of collage that i will go to )

its not the same as someone saying ya you have to do point( A) and (C )and( D) so you will have point (U) its like watching a pilot on tv and you think oh i want to be a pilot but you know how much complicated is the job

you cannot do just ANY job.. you have to like what you are going to do and you have to have a talent in this field... for example you cannot become a famous football player if you have never played football in your life.. Or you cannot be an accountant if you hate Math.. So go with whatever you like..

i can see from your profile that you are interested in photography... so here you go...Go study some graphic design, and combine it with your interest in photography.. you can work for some magazine, shooting models, or photographing some events..

Well it is the passion and commitment..... Atleast in my case it was passion, and my dream to be a pilot....
