Crocodile Hunter

Didn't know where to put this article but this is the best fit.
There will be a crocodile hunter job going in Australia.
Just seen on the BBC that Steve Irwin has been killed by a sting ray.
I suppose something had to give sooner or later.
R.I.P.

The only sporting events I have ever arranged were associated with darts. The Ramada provided all the chairs as it was held in their ballroom.

Might be worth having a word with the Qatar Table Tennis Association. They hosted the world team championship in 2003 or 2004. Mind you the seating was criticised I believe.

Sorry I can't help beyond that.

Well depending on what you find funny Loki, that could have been funny too. :P

lol, DG... I guess we will have to agree to disagree... I thought he was so stupid he should have been shot. :)

Loki, that was the beauty of the show, he was so stupid he was funny.

The movie was great too. :D

GIASI, I agree completely. He took stupid risks, touted himself as an "expert", faked many of his "crocodile encounters in the wild" by using the croc farm, and basically spent his life running around poking animals and gaffawing about how big and dangerous they were.

Poetic justice.

Just a quick one as you have loads of experience in sporting events etc do you know who in a company would deal with the temporary seating please?

I think he was doing it for the money.

Those who live by the sword, die by the sword. Please. I cant take this anymore. The guy was an attention grabbing freak. What was the whole point of his show? To show what a fearless hero he was? How many other people have been injured trying to emulate his antics? He made alot of money basically taunting animals.

Please... If you know anything about stingrays is that they are the pussycats of the sea. But pi$$ them of or inadvertently step on one and youre in for a shock. To have one spear him in the chest, he must have been very close. Maybe this will teach others that we are smarter than animals for a purpose.

Obviously his reflexes weren't that great it the end. :/

Yeah i saw that one was quite worried for the little one! He always seemed like a snake etc would get him as his reflexs were not great as he was nearly missed sometimes! Hats off to him though as i would not do it

They had a baby boy (girl?). I think he introduced him to a croc (or vice versa) in an episode.

The best one ever was when they went to her parents farm in North Carolina, and he tried to play with a mountain lion. First time I ever saw him scared to death of an animal, he didn't know what to do with it. :D

Well i stopped watching it a couple of years ago but he can still be seen on animal plant every now and again! Wonder what terry is going to do now bless her but she is just as mad

I haven't watched it in years, so I guess I only saw it when it was good.

I thought his show was great. I'm easily amused though. I'm going to miss his crazy antics. :(

I always though he was ott. Never enjoyed his show really. He knew the risks and paid the ultimate price. Nevertheless RIP Steve Irwin.

He was a d^%$head. I am sorry he's dead, - for his family's sake - but what an total idiot.

Given the reports he was "stung through the heart by a stingray", I assume he was doing another of his stupid stunts... it's pretty hard to get that close to a stingray unless you're trying. And him calling his stuff "documentaries" is a joke.
