Does anyone teach at Mesaieed Intern School?

My husband and I are both teachers, we have seen that the school has advertised, but can't find any information about it.

The school has said that it will be expanding in Jan 2012, so will need new staff. Does anyone currently work there or has worked there? Any information would be much appreciated!

We have no children but there are lots of families here living in the spacious and comfortable detached villas (with gardens) near the school. They seem to find plenty to do as Qatar is a very family-friendly country, particularly for younger children I would say. Mesaieed itself is very much an industrial town built because of the refinery. Medical facilites are excellent and free of charge for us. There is a golf club with a pool but really you need to go into Doha for most things, which is about 30 mins from here.

The school serves the local community, which is all expat children, the vast majority of which have English as a second language. Do you think you might apply? I know you can through Network Overseas which is how we came out here.

We are currently in the UK. We have 2 girls, so would like them to be in a good school also. What is the accommodation like for families and is their much to do for the kids? My husband is a secondary teacher and I am a primary teacher. Also, what is the town like?

Thanks again for the info, from your comments it does seem like an exciting opportunity.

Hi, my husband and I have worked there for 2 years. You are right, the school is expanding again so that the Primary and Secondary school will have different campuses, instead of being under the same roof. Foundation already has it's own campus. So yes, teachers of all varieties are needed! What do you and your husband teach?

Please write if you have any specific questions, but what I can tell you is that the children are lovely, and the package is extremely good. We intend to stay as long as we can. Are you currently in Qatar?
