Entry level field engineers for Qatar
By samermuawia •
Hi everyone,
Baker huges an oil and gas company are looking for entry level field engineers in qatar.I wanted to know if anyone knows about this company? And have anyone applied for the position of field engineers posted in there site?
And did they respond to you?...Plz share any info you know....
hey samer , i just had my phone interview with them , it was ok ,and they said they will contact me in the next 30 days . have they contacted you yet ?
well thank you again galloper,,your the best..wish you a nice day.
with that they are tryong to find out your profile and the suitability for the position.
As per interviews try to look into the company operations in general more than the detail in Qatar; since they could be "similar" in terms of what to do. The difference could be in the "how to do it". At this point safety, procedures, policies and a bunch of rules/guidelines comes into play.
As I told you try to maximize the knowledge into the operations and not that much into detail.
Also be prepared for questions like: are you willing to move to wherever the company needs you? are you willing to relocate immediately?
And the one I consider the most important of all is : what do you have; in terms of knowledge and expertise that will be useful to the company?? is there any added value to hire you?
Just prepare for that and also act normal and natural since all those aspects are viewed when doing a phone interview. Even the way you respond the questionaire could lead to a contract or could lead to continue looking for a job.
Best of luck....regards!!
Thanx for the info galloper48 …I applied for the job last month and they responded a week ago..they ve send me a questioner and said they will contact me if I am considered..so am trying to gather info about the company and their work here in Qatar..and it will be helpful if I found someone who has been throw the process before…Information about the interviews , phone interviews , and any tips will be nice…I just graduated this year and never been interviewed before…..wish me luck
It's a service company to the O&G industry.
Info about the company?? I would suggest to you to go to their website
http://investor.shareholder.com/bhi/about_bakerhughes/about.cfm
And do some reading to enlightnen your knowledge about the company.
It seems like the Field Operations Engineer (FOE) is still available (2 positions)
When applying on the internet be aware that some of the companies hire or outsource the candidates selection & resume filtering so that only those "with enough credentials" would be contacted for the job. It is hard to say but it could be a long time before getting any response from anyone. (or even no response at all, and belive me I've been there)
Just keep looking and don't loose your faith!!
