Hello Everyone, I have hepa-b reactive. BTW, it's antibodies hbsag. I am planning to apply for a cabin crew through agency here in philippines so I could follow my brother there in Qatar. I'm really really really REALLY worrid that I might unfit and banned because of my case. Do you think bringing a back-up file of medical reports along with the doctors letter stating that my case is not contagious, will it be okay in this way? BTW my brother cannot sponsor me because of the salary bracket. I BADLY need an advice kindly help me please :(

hi doc! good day to you... i read your comments and made my decision to pursue on stamping my passport with the embassy... Iam also a positive hepa B carrier.. my husband whose working in qatar and two children were negative in the test... We have now our family residency visit but the fear of being denied because i have with me a 'not fit' medical result. Is it possible that our passport ( me and 2kids) might be stamped by the embassy regardless of the situation...please advice.. thank you for posting doc..

aaahmed81 --> Hi doc. You posted earlier that Qatar is the food service fields. I'm a hepa b carrier but I'd like to apply as an engineer, which work may or may not involve field work. Do you think I can still work there? Thanks, your reply will be much appreciated...

the most important is HBcAg and HBcAb... if they're positive, then they won't let u work in anything involving hospitals or involving food... and QA also coz it involves catering....

aaahmed81 --> Hello and thank you for your reply. I am a HBSAg reactive I got it since birth from my Mother. Is it same with HBSAb?

hi, if u are only positive for HBSAb, which means its surface antibodies only, then that is ok, because it means u were previously vaccinated against hep B, but if u have Hep B core antibodies (HBcAb positive) then they won't pass u in the medical check up..

i know it coz i'm a doctor at hamad....

i think there's no problem with it as long as you're fit to work and that you pass the requirements.

go on with your dreams, if it's for then you'll get it. there's no harm in trying
