Job appplication tips and questions...

Hello guys,

I'm a microbiologist, college teacher, marketing director in one. When I came here to Qatar to look for a job, I have been tagetting a gov't work and I saw that Qatar Foundation, Medical Commission, and Central Lab Micro Analyses Unit are the main institutions that I can apply to.

I have been to the Medical Commission and the head there told me to go to the Supreme Health HR who advised me to go back and ask for a referral.

I noticed that the staff keeps shuffling me around and I stopped and thought about the whole application process. Apparently, if you go directly to the HR, the chances that you'll get hired will be very slim or will take a very long time, if ever. The job applicant should seek the institution wherein he/she wants to apply and directly give the resume to the head. And the most critical part is, if interviewed, immediately ask for a referral/letter so that the HR can have something to hold on and that you are indeed needed and qualified for the position.

I was wondering if there are some members of Qatarliving that could help qualified applicants to get their dream jobs. People who would be willing to push and help the new comers find a good job...
