Job Hunting

Hey Guys,

I was hoping you guys could shed some light on my question regarding job hunting.

I’m a Canadian citizen with a graduate level degree in IT and I’m also a CISSP.

Currently I manage the IT support for a trading floor in a major Canadian bank (~4 years of experience).

My question: What's the most effective way to get a job in my field in Qatar from abroad?

Try Gulf Talent website and similar others and register yoruself there.Pay something to make your CV prominent.

I also registered myself there but was not that serious but did not get the job offers from there for some time. I did recieve offers after i joined here with my present company in Qatar for Saudi Arabia but i did not go for it as i am happy here & also is sick of changing places now.

I had instead contacted the HR department of the company in USA in which i am working now. They then had refered my CV to the Abu DHabi office which sent me to Qatar after a short interview and salary finalisation. This is how it worked with me.
