Looking for work

I am due to relocate to Doha in a few months time with my husband, who has already accepted an offer there. Can anyone advise me of how easy/difficult it is to find work when already in the country? I currently work as a Manager in accounting/administration and would like to find a relatively senior position in any industry.

I think "shop 'til you drop" is the national motto here. New Villagio Mall is super nice and more stores being added every week. It's huge! :)

Thanks for your comments! I have just applied for the job advertised in the Gulf Times....and I have registered with a few agencies.

I realise that Qatar is going to be nothing like the Cayman Islands - but at least I can shop there!!!

If you are able to work full time, it is really no problem finding a job in adminstration if you want to. Don`t worry.

The hard thing is to find a part time job:)

Btw. there are currently recruitment agencies popping up every day, so you could maybe provide them with your CV also.

Best of luck.

Only thing I have really heard is try to secure a job before coming over because they will offer you much less money once you are here and on your husband's sponsorship. God love you for moving from the Cayman Islands to Qatar!

Gulf Times always has good classifieds.
