Hey guys, I've just recently graduated from the LPC (legal course, i also have a BA in law). Im from London, and really keen on moving to Qatar. I've looked around the web for some jobs, sadly no1 seems to respond..was mainly applying through Bayt and Reeds.

Any tips on how/where to apply? I'm keeping an open mind to different opportunities incl. paralegalling/HR/banking etc.

Your help would be much appreciated!

Are you qualified to practice law in Qatar? i.e. can represent people in Qatari courts? If not, I would expect your chances of getting a job in the legal profession to be fairly small. Most large companies needing legal advice for Britain would have either their own or a consulting lawyer with international experience.

the answer by Cabbage is the correct one, please Google and find Law firms in Qatar/U.A.E and apply directly, do not trust/believe the Employment agencies, Good Luck

Thank you so much! Yes i noticed experience is very much desired. I've had 2-3 experience, within the legal and HR sectors, however Qatar seems to be hunting for engineers and mechanics more than lawyers!- can u name any agencies/companies you think i should approach? Thanks again :)

Word of mouth! Ever heard of it. Bayt and Reed are both appalling and pathetic...what a shame they call themselves recruitment consultants.Try applying direct.

Well.. Depends on hw much experience and technical expertise you possess. As far as i have known good companies do overseas recruitment only for managerial positions or jobs those require high unique technical expertise which is not widely available in this market.Keep trying.. But unless you have 5 years minimum experience you are unlikely to find that advntage of moving from london to doha. Goodluck.
