Assalamu alaikum,

its the first time for me here and i would really appreciate your help.

I've received an email from Qatar airways Recruitment manager who offered me a managerial position! i felt very interested as this job matches long experience.

i truly need your help by answering any of the questions below:

1- how am i going to be interviewed as i am living outside Qatar?

2- how many and how hard are the interviews?

3- I am not Academic and has no university degree though i am very professional in my field for over 16 years, will that be a problem in issuing managerial visa which allow me to bring my family with me?

4- what are the gross salary range for manager position at QR? do they offer accommodation or allowance? and what is the perfect accommodation allowance for big family - 6 ppl?

5- how long does the whole process takes if successfully interviewed?

6 - I am a Muslim man with beard, will that be an obstacle for them? i am not shaving my beard for any reason :)

thank you so much for guiding me through this new experience.

first let me thank you all so much for your great help-( exiledsaint ,goaboy , revamp , Qhris , the bee, saeedkan , mohammedshahidilahi).

it is really a relief knowing that things might go smooth insha-Allah and not to worry about things like look or similar issues.

Qhris: i investigated the email and it came from recruitment management using "qatarairways.com.qa" server, it was very straight and pro! and when i replied they answered that they will get back to me shortly with feed back " that is a week ago". also i think i am already shortlisted but not yet selected until after interviewing!

i still didn't know about their senior salaries range or gross package? do they really offer accommodation and car instead of allowance!? i do prefer that , saves time and money:)

thanks again guys, i hope to receive more information which truly would help me negotiating and feeling confident about this exciting step in my career.

regards

Abu Anan

Hire n Fire is their policy. so be careful/crooks like me only can survive and I do :)

You are shortlisted after screening your CV, so no worries on your academics/ family visa has nothing to do with your qualifications/ Your pay n title only will be considerd.

QA is a poor paymaster compared to the other carriers in the region/ Ask for providing housing and car and not allowances/ even the regional head isgiven a toyota Camry ROFL// when EK and EY provides 7series and S classes.

Hang on.....sorry to burst your bubble but did you apply for the job? There have been a multitude of QR hoax emails going around (most recent one i got was to become cabin crew offering me the job, when it is a notoriously thorough interview process to navigate, I have heard).

I would contact the office directly to verify this email.

Fingers crossed, I hope it is genuine!

The way you phrased this post is confusing, it sounds like you just got an email with no appication; I have not heard of them offering a job pre-interview and pre-selection...

Sorry if I misunderstood, just don't want you to be conned.

Only the oil and gas companies require plant based employees to have a closely shaved beard for safety reasons so you should be ok with QA
