It depends on your new sponsor.. from my own experienced. I've been w/ the company for seven years..then i resigned.. NOC not issued and  I cameback after 3 months on visit visa..Luckily I got hired and changed my sponsorship. My present employer/sponsor did the processing of my transfer..Goodluck..to All..

http://www.onlineqatar.com/info/visa-ban.aspx in this link it said that there had been talks about changing the 2 yr. ban into a 6months ban.. but in this one http://www.onlineqatar.com/living/employment-contract.aspx it said today contracts are open-ended, and have few clauses to protect employer, such as the six-month ban period prior to granting new work visa for a particular worker. This implies that the worker should leave the country for six months before re-applying for a visa. so if it's true that the 2yr. visa ban is now changed into 6mos. well that is a very good news.. :)

the one-two year rule is applicable for the first sponsorship change. else it is 6 months or sometimes even less.

I am not sure Tinke... but I think now the rule is like... if you change the company/sponsorship you cannot again change to another company before 1 yr..he is asking if that rule is changed to 6 months now..

tinker... in the title of the post he mentioned...upon changing the sponsorship...

2 yrs ban is for cancelling the visa and coming back... and not for changing the sponsorship....I think Qatarologist is right...

One more option

6 months ban + 1 year no job+ 6 month no entry permit.

= before 2 year u cannot enter.

:)

enjoy
