Prospects For An American Liberal Arts Major?
By teksource84 •
Hello All,
I previously posted on this forum. I'm getting close to finishing my degree and was wondering what would be the job prospects for someone who has a degree from a reputable U.S. University in Political Science ?
I will have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Southern California.
What job can I find in Doha with this degree ? perhaps in a Bank or something.
Your advice and feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

teksource this is not the place for your first job, just my opinion.
Everyone seems to have an MBA here. I'm not sure the employers are too discerning about the source.

I see how about an MBA from a good American school ? such as Arizona State University ? top 30 American MBA school
Political Science is the study of politics isnt it...
doha is no place for your degree, you can find job here but for sure it wont be related to your degree....
Not too bright a chance, better get some experience under your belt first.
1. your degree isn't very relevant to demand here
2. you need experience before coming to work here.
3. There are a lot of local graduates often 2nd generation expats whom companies hire.
Racist rubbish.
To be an English teacher you need an MA and experience.
Get the chip off your shoulder and stop using the fair and lovely cream.
As an English teacher, perhaps ?
Even that may depend on your etnicity. It will help if you are caucasian.
Sorry to be pessimistic but I'd say bad to dismal. Without experience or a professional title you join a whole lot of people who are willing to work for less than US minimum wage here.
