I have seen some people getting nervous or are afraid at the time when they attend an interview with the employer.
They want to speak but some can't speak. Y is it so?
In an interview, I spend the first 2-5 minutes shivering, as for the rest of it, I'm leading it, sitting straight, asking questions, smiling and getting the job at the end too..:)
agree with tcom. and to add, the applicant of course wants to impress the employer so he/she is minding his body language, posture, grooming while trying to remember how to speak fluently (interviews are almost always done in English) and with sense. i don't know if anyone will not get nervous while doing the above things.
Hi. i think the reason why they are afraid is because they don't know what to expect from the interviewer. They are conscious on what impression they will give or maybe they are not really suitable to the position they are applying, some might just wrote in their cv's they have this but actually they dont have.
This is just my thoughts.
Life could be sometimes harsh or kind. But no matter what it brings, dont blame it to LIFE itself, for you are the one who made the choice....Just be thankful and be brave to face the challenges..

Salam
The only interview I was nervous at, was my first at 16 before college.
After that is was breeze. My CV matched my experience.
Only liars and people who have 'hammed'up CV's are nervous.
The rest of us know what we have written is true to our qualifications and experience.
Even if we fluck up an answer, that will be seen as 'human'.
Believe me after 15 years of interviewing, the really nervous ones, have the most to hide.
This goes for the bullshitters as well, those that think, they 'turn' the question round to the interviewer.
We see through that. Match your qualifications to your experience, know that it will stand up to scrunity and no need to be nervous at all.

Fear of unknown and results not comin in favor...
We as a human enjoy this emotion more than being 100% sure I am getting it or 100% sure I am not getting it....

happy, well, if people will just do that... they might have more chances of being hired....LOL
but hey not to the point of OOzing with confidence when ye have really nothing to prove hahaha..ya know what i mean
HAVE CONFIDENCE BUT DON'T BE COMPLACENT TOO is all i am saying....
they are thinking in their minds - will I get the job or won't i ? Will I expose my ingnorance - won't I ?
How can I lead the interviewer away from asking questions on topics I don't know ?
All these doubts make the candidate anxious - some times anxiety is a good thing and can make the candidate perform better.
Often it can work the other way round and have disastrous effects.
AP
Bubbly....the words in caps gave the effect actually...
GO "SELL" YERSELF!!! OOZE WITH SELF CONFIDENCE ... read it again and got the same effect...lol..

they're simply not prepared.
They're scared of being found out because of the lies on their resumes :)
