Collars are the most common option for dogs. And, of course, you might do very well with just a collar. However, a harness gives you more control over your Doodle's movement. Additionally, a collar puts pressure on your Doodle's neck and throat.collar for goldendoodle puppy Most veterinarians recommend using a harness instead of a collar for training purposes with a puppy. Harnesses make it easier to control your puppy and reduce the risk of injury to both you and your pup. Harnesses are also ideal for adult dogs who haven't learned how to walk with a lead yet.

Mandalay - please don't answer questions unless you know what you are talking about.

Dogs can and should be trained from the age of 6 weeks old. You don't specify the age of your dog or the problem but it should be trainable.

Please contact QL user Xena as she may be able to help you with your dog.

ooops...your answer didn't make sense so I read it wrong! It is harder to untrain a dog (but still do-able) with unwanted learnt behaviours and easier to train a dog the right way first....ie...from a puppy

mandalay...seriously, don't spread rumours. Of course you can train an older dog. I've done it many times!

Hard to train if the dog is less than 2 years old. It is consider as Child or baby.
