Al Wakrah Stadium
Today, the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee (Q22) unveiled Al Wakrah Stadium which will be the first stadium that Q22 will deliver. It is located in the city of Al Wakrah which is approximately 15 kilometres south of Doha, the capital.
The new Al Wakrah Stadium is inspired by the dhow boats that carried generations of Wakrah’s fishermen and pearl divers. This massive stadium includes 40,000-seats and is capable of hosting group stage, round of 16 and quarterfinal matches during the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.
The idea behind the stadium and its approximately 586,000 m surrounding area are intwined together to portray the city’s cultural heritage, as defined in the Qatar National Vision 2030.
In addition to the unique architecture, the stadium will also include a natural grass pitch cooled to an optimal temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, to ensure physical comfort for the players. The spectator stands will also be cooled, to a very convenient temperature of 24-28 degrees Celsius.

One of the nice stadium..
The workers are giving their sweat and blood in making this huge monuments ..yet they are not given the respect and care they need...Many die in the process...So before you marvel the stadium magnificence,do remember the people who built them..They are the real heroes to me...Not the Fat cats..
