Hello people. Can you all supply me some information regarding the infrastructure for the World Cup. When does it start or has it all started and when is it due to be finished. I am a HV/LV cable jointer currenty employed in the UK and would like to go out to Qatar to work on the infrastructure for a few year and maybe end up staying. Also if anyone can supply me with contacts that would be fantastic, thanks all for your time and I look forward to your replies.

GodFather.

Mr Leech, the work you are currently doing is been done by low paid people here, that's what every one above is trying to tell you.

Where as in Europe Cable Jointers, plumbers and Brickies can earn as much if not more than Engineers, here I am afraid its still the white collar guys get paid the most.

Better you offer you services and a Supervisor or Electrical Mechanical Manager, with your experience you could make sure its done properly.

Mr. Leech, are we talking manual labour here? If so, you would earn approximately 800 to 1500 QR (Qatar riyal) per month, would live in a labour camp , share a room with about 10 people...shall I continue?

There are a million slaves here that work for 50 pence an hour (with no actual guarantee that they will get paid) to do what you describe. Maybe you could get a job if you undercut them and are willing to live in a slave camp with a million others.

Hey FatDonkie that is beautiful but doesnt really help me. I am new to this game, you make it sound like it would be difficult to stay in the country.
