This is my first ramadan driving in Qatar and I find it just awful. I blame it on the restlesness caused by lack of cigarettes. :-) lol I also find it much more dificult to get along with my husband during ramadan from the same reason.

Ramadan is about devotion to God and about forgiveness and peace, I don't understand why all the angry drivers, I found it much more safe to go out after iftar, before is like everybody's trying to kill u. It's really a shame!!!

If you could choose one characteristic that would get you through life, choose a sense of humour.

I've seen more foreigners (usually women) on cell phones driving than I have Qataris, it's also usually foreigners who make me nervous on the streets, rarely Qataris.

But to speak the truth the number of serious crashes have peaked during this Ramadan season. Did any one see the Land cruiser in FFC Airport Parking? The driver should be lucky enough to have survived.

What MD says is right the population has increased and now they have focus on increasing the road capacity instead of focussing on buildings alone.

A Public Transportation system like the train would be a reliable solution. Hope they will emulate Dubai decision of running the Metro soon enough.

I am tempted to say, it's in the nature or mentality of the people here. But I'm not saying it.

but this particular accident has been made by the woman who is only 3-weeks old driver and also she had her child on her lap while driving!!

but why to be aggressive? school are starting all over the world, not only in Qatar! the drivers are just crazy here! and yes, the right word: aggressive.. also irritated, seems like full of hatred to everyone around...

it's definitely a sign of some psychological complex..

why?? is their life in qatar that bad??? are they so much unhappy??

True, Alex, that's when shopping time starts. You know what I'm talking about? I tend to buy the stuff I need between 4 and 5 at Carrefour. Nobody's on the streets.

Abu, the population has tripled within 10 years. Don't forget that.

Arien, I have. You should not generalize like this. It was after the Friday prayer when I was invited for lunch in the big majilis. And my friend pointed to a group of "youngsters" and said:"

And these are our troublemakers." So, they know very well what's going on.

oh that is a bad one, sometimes i wonder if it is due to lack of driving skills or just lack of thinking capacity and impatience. see them rushing rushing all the time on the roads regardless of any thought for safety- now where the heck are they rushing off to??

psssst, better out the front than out the back......heheehehhehehhe
