Advertising in magazines/newspapers in Qatar

I want to announce something to the world via an advertisement. Has anyone done this before and what experience did you have? Which magazines/newspapers would you recommend advertising in? It is something for the general Qatar expat community.

if it is for the Expat Community then I would recommend Marhaba.

if its for general Qatar expats then Gulf Times, Peninsula or Gulf news are the medias for English

for Arabic we have Al Sharq, Al Watan, Al Rayyah.

I've thought about buying a Time Out before, but then said to myself "they've got a website... what extra is the magazine really going to get me?" I'd only buy a paper or magazine if I had a specific reason..... but I can't think what that reason would be right now! You can find most info online these days - news, events, classified ads...

^Yeah, true. I bought a Time Out recently but normally I don't touch printed media. Was kind of an impulse buy.

Just speaking for myself, but I very rarely read any local newspapers or magazines.... Printed media is pretty much over, no? Feel free to disagree!
