Aramex Shop & Ship - Missing Packages

timebandit
By timebandit

I am interested to know if anyone else is having packages go missing with Aramex Shop & Ship from the UK. I have now had three packages go missing recently, and I am becoming concerned about the service. Right now I am considering if I will ever use them again.

I've never had a problem but a colleague was receiving someone else's packages for a while. However, it turned out it was the other customer's fault - he was giving his UK box# when filling out the forms for US delivery to Aramex.

Errrrrr...... Brit...... I think you have got me with that one. Just Googled my memory banks, but couldn't find a match on "EEEE-YACKABOOOOO".

Then Googled it for real and got this:-

It's funny how different nations like British humour..

Mind your Language is a favourite, because it's down to earth and many people can relate to it.

The other one is Benny Hill.. Probably more liked outside the UK ..

Well Brit it was bought as a gift for a colleague. He is a young Qatari and is always going on about it. Apparently it's being broadcast around here and has been dubbed. And he can't get enough of it.

Now I have a very foggy recollection of turning over very quickly whenever it came on TV. I don't remember ever watching a whole episode. But now I am curious and must take another look. Perhaps now having been exposed to so many different cultures and nationalities I will be able to get what the writer was intending.

By nomerci• 4 Nov 2010 13:47

timebandit, I doubt they would admit to it...;)

OMG! I am an idiot. OK having communicated at length with Aramex today, I would like to apologise to them for casting dispersions on their service, and tarnishing their good name.

It would appear that although there are communication's issues contributing to my flying off the handle, Aramex may well not be at fault in any of my issues. My projector lift part was indeed delayed because of a wrong contact name on the label (although the box number was correct), the first DVD box set is still missing but could have been lost on the way from Amazon to Aramex, and I have just received an email informing me the second box set is ready for collection.

I have already apologised to Aramex for giving them a hard time, but now need to clear up the mater in this thread. SORRY ARAMEX

Drac I don't even like Mind Your Language.... well I don't think I do, it's been ages since I watched an episode. As it happens this is a gift for a colleague. Grrrr.... this is making me so angry I could stamp my feet.

A friend of mine has mind your language on her hard drive though. LOL you should have just asked around on QL instead of ordering it from UK. About the spare part then sorry about the loss.

MRST the problem seems to be the UK end, as with all three of my parcels I was not notified that they had arrived in the UK office. Anything that I have received notifications of arrival at the UK office have always got to me.

The spare part for the projector lift did eventually get to me. But that was after much chasing. Aramex blamed the supplier for not putting my box number in the address, but when I finally got it (after a month) there was my box number on the address label.

The DVD box set's are from Amazon. I have never had a problem with Amazon in the 10 years I have been using them. I never received notification of the arrival of the first DVD box set, and now the replacement box set is past it's expected arrival date.

Yes I am discussing this with Aramex, but I am interested to know if the problem is unique to me.

thanks for sharing and let s see if you just a unlucky person or if this service is questionable (well their office and how they store the items looks like pretty messy - so I would not be surprised)
