we 'believe' in our own religion, why? Maybe because we cannot prove it true or false. On the other hand, we don't need to believe a fact, because it doesn't matter whether we believe it or not- it's a fact!
it doesn't matter whether we believe in a certain religion or not, it doesn't matter if we are atheist or theist- We all will get to know our answer through the ultimate process of human life- death... all the people in the above list got their answers... and someday we will get ours, too . . .

Unlike all the brain washed morons who bang on about how their religion is better than everyone elses, we actually dont need some comedy books telling us what we can and cant do....
it doesnt.ive known atheists ,who for the lack of a better term "FAITH",have a more conservative and moralistic view on life and personal relationship.they just dont believe and i respect that.
alright spike, then what are you asking? are atheists lesser people compared to what, religious people or just people who believe in god? saying lesser people in general just doesn't make sense, you need to compare it against something.
dmighty, what i said was taken out of context there. Obviously if you accept someone and they have a belief not in line with your own, you have a mutual respect and let them live with it. On the other hand, they should respect i don't want to hear about it as they wouldn't with me.
Common decency is above all beliefs in my opinion.
Zayd nice suggestion, but think about it, when you say atheist its simply atheist, no other faction, but when you say religious you will tend to disregard those who are not "religious" but believe in God..In this case I made a specific group..your suggestion will not suffice with the argument I am presenting..
is also to accept his or her belief. Accepting means respecting his/her belief. It's how to deal with them civilly. You need to accept the person as a whole and not what you want to believe in him/her only. You can not deal with that person truthfully!

I agree...there are so many narrow minded person who tend to judge others too quickly...If I may say so....why don't they look first at themselves before bashing people...
I care about a person based on their person, not their belief, granted last thing i want to hear is preaching, but if someone is trying to convert rather than accept the way i am, i don't constitute them as a good person.

I think you have me confused with someone who gives a sh1t.
it doesnt.ive known atheists ,who for the lack of a better term "FAITH",have a more conservative and moralistic view on life and personal relationship.they just dont believe and i respect that.
zayd, others have posted their comment just fine, just post the way you understand it, no crime will be done...

alright spike, then what are you asking? are atheists lesser people compared to what, religious people or just people who believe in god? saying lesser people in general just doesn't make sense, you need to compare it against something.
people are athiest or religious. Both groups can be nice.
They believe in logic my friend..
either way, that's not the point...
are you judging me now EYC?...lol

It's easy to find the dirt of others than ours...
But then it's human nature to judge even if we are not in a position to do so.
"Jack Frost VS Jack Cool"
spike, with all due respect i think this question can be asked in a better way...
it should be: "does being religious make you a better person?"
is also to accept his or her belief. Accepting means respecting his/her belief. It's how to deal with them civilly. You need to accept the person as a whole and not what you want to believe in him/her only. You can not deal with that person truthfully!

very well said SAMAEL,
I am with you on this one...
But reality bites, narrow-minded people tend to judge those who doesn't believe in GOD. As if they are the devil themselves.

Does being religious make you a lesser person?
Some look at religious people in a not so good way,
some even avoid talking to them
and worst some judge them for their beliefs.
It goes both ways hun.
The truth is you would not be able to tell the difference between a religious person or an atheist unless they mentioned it first.
Some followers of some churches give donations, and want their names to be mentioned before the mass. Only few want to remain Anonymous.

Well i would say goodness from the heart is always better than goodness by obligation.
But goodness is goodness in any shape or form.
