Myacin also works.

In addition to the other tips, try wearing leather soled shoes. Rubber soles will draw your feet (make your feet sweat)

When you take a shower... squeeze and rub half a lemon of each foot... be prepared to scream like a little girl....(athlete's foot is an open wound)

rubbing a lemon on your heel also gets rid of cracked or hard skin on your heels....

hope this helps.

There is one universal solution - Lamisil. Comes in cream or spray. Take spray and spray over your DRY feet before putting on socks every morning. In 2 weeks you'll forget that you ever had Athlete's foot.

A friend of mine told me he keeps on top of it by urinating on his feet in the shower.

I tried it but with little effect.

But seeing as he had success with it I asked him to wee on my feet but he just punched me.

I will try the foot powder but I don't know where to find any powdered feet?

Failing that I will show them to my Pharmacist and ask what is best.

I read on one of those lists you see in magazines of things to do now you are 40 and number 5 was get rid of your athletes foot.

So it must be a common thing with men of my age.

I'll keep you all posted.

Would a few photos help?

comes in a powder, spray and cream.(or any antifungal foot spray will do, its just this is what doctor's prescribe) Use the cream then spray the inside of your shoes. Wear cotton socks and have an extra pair of shoes you switch out every day so they other ones can dry out(spray them immediately upon taking them off). Athlete's foot is caused by fungus and thrives in hot, moist environments..shoes are perfect for that. Make sure you wash your feet, especially in between the toes, well with antibacterial soap, and dry well...again, especially between the toes and apply the antifungal. Go barefoot as much as possible while at home...OHHH, and its highly contagious, so keep Lysol spray (again antibacterial) if they have it here!, and spray the inside of the shower floor when the shower dries out each day. that should keep it from spreading and keep you from re-infecting yourself. Hope this helps!

and no i don't suffer from this but my sons do...which is why I know...lol

Dry your feet well before putting on your socks. And better yet after drying your feet, put on some foot powder before wearing your socks.

You let the athletes foot go. They tend to go away when you stop holding on to them.
