Attention KARWA Management

It has been observed that there are few buses on service in the community particularly those bound to industrial area are not using a machine to produce its computerize ticket. So the driver has to issue a ticket other than those produce from the machine. As a commuter, I encounter a problem that does not only get upset on my part but it could lead to a great losses of income to the conpany.

Please allow me to categorize these prblems:
1. Using a ticket other than produce from the machine is not a sound idea because it is prone to corruption. Maybe some money would go into the packet of the driver. Don't you know that there was a time that the driver ask me to return the said ticket, so a great possibility is that he has to re-issue the ticket and save the money into his own ticket.
2. The idea I have presented above is just a premise of on the problem using a ticket not produced from the machine which add to some existing problem. Do you know why I am presenting this to the public? Okay here, let me give a situation when I rode a bus route 20. The bus is equipped with a workable machine but sad to say that the driver has a crocodile character. I asked the driver a ticket for three times upon aboarding but just ignoring me while the bus is in motion in other words he is not drawing a ticket from the machine, only then when I go down in a bus stop, he gave me a ticket with the date 25 June 2010 (its a curent date) but the time was earlier one hour ago. Now this ticket is supposedly to be submitted to the company for reimbursement. But it may have a problem because the time on the ticket was earlier in one hour ago, at which this time I was still inside the factory. As far as I'm concerned this is really a problem both on the passenger who are relying on an updated ticket for reimbursement and on the Karwa company to its losses of income because of those drivers.

Information:
Bus No. 652
Driver No. ????????

MORALE:
May the company has to make urgent action on this matter and try to hire a more trusted individual to serve the community.

Driver told me, "We have to drive with no A/C or the engine will overheat, and we will have poor acceleration". I told him if we drive slower I will be less likely to get whiplash from your overbreaking. He said I was being disrespectful, I told him if he new a good chiropractor he could keep driving like he was. He said none in Qatar, so I repeated I do not want whiplash, he reminded me I was being disrespectful, this circle of conversation lasted 10 minutes, I said you are right NO TIP, very dirty look as he drove away having turned the AC on as I got out. First nutty driver....Ehhhh Summer in Doha:)

I have already complained about the same in July,2008 and posted the same in QL forum.

When i have questioned a driver... he did not stop the bus stop at the stop where i wanted to alight.

But it is of no use..... Not only the bus drivers but also the taxi drivers especially those who are on duty at national area on fridays. If you call them they wont come... we have to be at their mercy... they never come for a trip in nearby areas like Al Sadd etc. Instead they call 5-6 people to Industrial estate and collect 5-6 riyals from each of them. so that they can have some excess amount.

Good point, not sure why there is a bus 652 when there are only 6 buses, why not label them bus 1-6????

The bus routes are also stupidly planned...can some body tell me the name of the person who planned the routes?

The routes are like donuts...keep going around in circles....its only good for tourists to see Doha and take photographs from the enlarged windows...

1st of all those big windows are not suited for GCC countries....because of the heat...and the amount of effort it will put on the Air conditioners....where is the green building stuff?

Whoa! someone called the attention of |Karwa Management. Hopefully they will pay attention.

I don't think also that Karwa Management have the idea of mass transport. Why? They don't have enough buses to transposrt passengers :(

NY and Chicago have it right, DC is good, LA ... Not so much, but Doha has potential, just needs the right consultants, you know, people who have actually used public transportation.

Karwa and Mowasalat are living proof that Qatar has no idea ...about mass transportation...

That...and those who advised Qatar had no idea either...

I have just begun doing business in Doha, and out of 50 cab rides I received without asking a ticket 3 times. Of those rides only 5 drivers actually knew the roads or how to get me where I needed to go. I rode one bus, and I got no ticket, but in all cases the drivers were polite. They may have been frustrated, and were certainly surprised at the locations I had them take me to, but all were polite. I spoke to the police a couple times, and they were more concerned that the passenger could pay the bill than whether tickets were being issued. I would simply call Karwa dispatch with the bus or cab number and the time and date of the ride, they will take care of the issue, as more international clientele use their services the need for uniformity and consistency will compell them to more strictly adhere to policy, plus in 10 years they will have to compete with a metro system. Nothing drives customer service like competition!

Actually I have the bus driver number on the ticket I have in hand. Another problem arose even at the bus terminal in queuing to the bus, some people are hurt because everybody is pushing. To avoid this, there should be a line fence whereby the passengers has to queue on it going to the bus door. I hope the Karwa management has to take action this.

MORE KARWA BUS DRIVERS ARE DOING THIS MALPRACTICE SINCE ITS SERVICE.

MORE TIME I TRAVELLED BY BUS, AND THIS MAJOR TIME THE DRIVER ASKED ME TO GIVE BACK THE TICKET, I DIDNT GAVE BACK THE TICKET. BUT I SAW SOME OTHERS WAS GIVING BACK THE TICKET.

IF ANY BODY didnot GIVING BACK THE TICKET to THE DRIVER CAN not RE-ISSUE THE TICKET .

ANOTHER TYPE OF MALPRACTICE IS NOT ISSUING THE TICKET.

ALL PASSENGERS MUST KNOW I ANY BODY TRAVEL WITHOUT TICKET THEY HAVE PENALIZED UP TO 500 QR, WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN CAUTCHED BY THE TIKET EXAMINER. THERE IS NO EXCUSE IF U GAVE MONEY, BUT U DONT HAVE TICKET.

"LOOK THE TICKET PRINTING TIME , IF IT IS ALREADY PASSED DONT ACCEPT THE TICKET" AND tell the driver for new ticket....
