No probs stealth. No offense taken, just wanting clarification really.

To see whether just saying sorry has made a difference, read the whole thing.

But I do see your point. No, it won't bring it back but its a small step...no, huge step considering past government actions, for the future and the kids of the stolen generations...........gotta admit, anything positive is much better than anything negative.

Am curious as to what's next!!

Snowy I didnt mean you. I am talking things in general.

You must be well aware of the Lost Generation of aborigines - the ones who were forcefully taken from their parents and given for adoption.

Do you think just a Sorry will will bring back everything for the ones who lost it?

Moreover how many are actually sorry?

But what has this to do with Indians or Jews??

DOuble standards to say th eleast.

If it were Jews they would have had to pa huge fines with or without an apology.

For a weak community just an apology.

That leaves the aussies in a daze hey....There are still widespread backlashes against the indian community in the Australia.

About bloody time...go kevin..this shouldve been done a long time ago and the likes of howard are inhumane not to recognise what happend to the Aborigines....I am proud that kevin has apologised. The monetary compensation will help but i cant imagine what the Aborgines had to endure having white people steal their babies from their homes.... Inhumane....at least this is a step in the right direction..
