Is it true here in QL?

What do we have in common?

you dedicate only friday for your family? With all the meet-ups you attend, do you think it's time to bring your wife to our meet-ups?

rishi... all those things not necessarily to be repeated everyday ...it can be in different combinations else it would get routine and boring... and trust me it isnt extravagant too except on weekends when its a different story all together ....'we' know that *wink*.... and a quick drink can be anywhere not necessarily in a bar... it can be at someones place too, courtesy QDC.... idea is to have quality time with real people and not be trapped at home in front of computer ...:)

happy, having a quick drink and then dining out is ok for occasions or weekends...

i would call this being extravagant if done every everyday.

rishi...not quite true...I find QLing the most boring thing to do ... not in the evenings for sure...if you have a few good buddys...you can play a game, have a quick drink and can dine out together and talk your heart out...selection of buddys however would make the difference...if you can have 'variety' nothing like that.... and none of these activities are illegal, immoral, prohibited or expensive...:)

jpa, after a few months in qatar, we, sooner or later, realise that QLing is the best way to spend our evenings with....its like an oasis in a desert island.

every other form of entertainment is either illegal, immoral, prohibited or expensive..:)

True...

The common thread is that we are mostly expats in a foreign land.

On QL, most with similar viewpoints, beliefs , habits stick together.

By jpa• 1 Sep 2010 20:28

For male Qlers, maybe an oasis of spirits.

It may be a case of "desperation makes strange bedfellows".
