Awh, you are so sweet!

My buddy list is a lot bigger than I expected.

All this in one day.  I feel priviledged, although I think Dweller does have a point.

I'm greatful to all those who responded, but can't help questioning how this could have so easily been subject to abuse and how a great many weirdos could so easily gain access to online buddies.  I'm new to the whole concept of using forums but can already see how it could be open to abuse.

Kinda hypocritical really since I recieved so many online buddies through this post.  There are so many nice people here in QL (and some not so nice!), that I think people should geniunely be careful of who they actually disclose personal information to or meet with and if they do meet someone, make it a group meet and in a public location!  You really can't tell if they're going to turn out all stalkery.

hmmmmm interesting observation but sad to say i have yet to meet as i hardly get time to attend those social outings as most are arranged on weekend and i dont get off on weekends

I sent everyone who commented on this post a buddy invite.  Only 2 didn't respond (both young women).  I just guessed you (and the other) must have had lots of weirdos requesting buddy invites, that you just decline them!  So I withdrew my request.

Why the change with age?

I think its probably best to rent for a while and watch the markets.  If many new developments go up it may push the price of villas and apartments down.

I may have to bite the bullet and pay these extortionate rent rates for a while.

for buying property i think you can buy in The Pearl, i am not an expert so cant advice any further. 

I have lots of questions, things like where to buy an appartment or villa.  Best and most convenient areas to live.  Are there any Irish bars? lol

Good property agents.  Whats the Property market like and how stable is it?  Many many questions, but I should post them in the proper sections.  

I will get out there first and scope out Doha, then i'll start posting all sorts of questions.  Thanks for the help though!

I think some people have their profile blocked or restricted for friends only.  (I think, not too sure as I'm new here)

  Go into the person you want as your buddy, then click add them to you buddy list. The person will then be notified and then they click to approve you on not.

Either that, or go into "my friends" and see if you have anyone who wants to be your buddy, look now you may be lucky.
