Hello folks,

Can anyone tell me where I might find middle east prices online for a Canon 300D or 400D with a lens kit?
I have googled till my fingers are raw bleeding stumps and can't type anymore............

Oh thanks. (I typed that with my head pointer)

I buy camera stuff either in Dubai (there is MK Trading, a very respectable and reasonbly priced outlet) or through Amazon.com - all of the camera stores including BHvideo sell through Amazon.com, and I get it here via Aramex shop and ship. The only problem is exchange - in case somthing is wrong with lense. But so far i got 2 lenses in Dubai and 3 via Amazon.com wwitout any problems

yeah, my last comment wasn't actually serious (hence the :P).

RTC - You should consider the reputable online sellers such as bhphotovideo.com, etc - you will get a much better deal. I haven't compared the differences in Canon products' prices, but with what I have seen, I consider it worthwhile "self-insuring", so to speak, and risking the lack of warranty.

There's no proper online shopping for electronics in the Middle East. There's an auction going for a 300D here, http://uaemall.com/ and search for Canon. There's an auction going for it.

Otherwise check with Salam here 483-2050 and ask for Canon (they also do Nikon). Your last option is Canon but you have the warranty problem.

As much as I hate to say it being a long-time Nikon owner, Canon is just as good.

You'd be better off buying online... local prices are fairly inflated.

Also, you should be buying a Nikon.... :P
