I am a new comer to Doha in May from Halifax Canada and after 3 months of being very busy at work I am now looking forward to get out and about to meet a few of the interesting people who appear to be very active on this site.
I try to make sense of some of the posting about where to go but unfortuntely most of the acronyms don't make any sense to me yet. I would be interested in hearing more about some of the usual places people go to socialize and would appreciate seeing the names and locations (hotel name, area perhaps etc)so that I can find them easily without getting lost yet again! However, one advantage of getting lost is you get to know a new part of town!!

I actually don't know. I know its assocated with CNA-Q so maybe close to there or on their grounds?
