Can someone who went through this process provide details, please?(For Canada)

The Qatar Embassy in Washington DC provides the following steps:

Certificate of Good Conduct Requirements

Finger Prints:

Notarized by the notary public (County, City)

Notarized by the Secretary of State (State, Province)

Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Country. (Canada, Peru, Mexico, and Chile)

please let me know yours experience if there anyone went through the above process in Canada , , situation in Canada is a bit different to USA, In Canada fingerprints clearance take 150 days, and with out finger prints it 's take 15 days, My office in Qatar (where I will join in April) told to me I don't need fingerprints clearance that's means I can go ahead with clearance witout fingerprints, but on the other hand Qatar Embassy website demand fingerprints, that make me a bit confused , just looking some guidline for Canada Please

Plain and simple. Get a Police Record check in Canada. Depending on your role here, you may need also to be certified that you have no convictions for crimes against children (for non-Canadians reading this post and wondering about this; once you have served your time and after a reasonable number of years with no new convictions, you can apply for a "pardon" to clear your record. However, the record check can report on even pardoned crimes against children). Canadian police will only take your fingerprints if there is ambiguity about your identity (you have a name like John Smith and there is an ex-convict named John Smith).

Fingerprints (in fact your entire hands) will be printed once you get here.

oakvilleca and others !!

I have applied for the police clearance from Toronto Police headquarters last week. Once it arrives, I will get it notarized and attest from ministry of foreign affairs. What else needs to be done afterwards? Please provide your experience details.

Also, at what stage this certificate is reqd.? For issuing work visa or later after you arrive in qatar and processing your RP?

Thanks

I am Canadian and didn't need to be fingerprinted before I left Canada. Had to do it once I arrived in Canada.

you can ask for your fingerprint at the local police department it should take 1 week no more

it take 150 days if you have to ask the RCMP (that is if you have a criminal record)

Your fingerprints will be taken here in Qatar as part of your residency permit application upon arrival (this is a must be done thing so no escaping it).

Im not from Canada however I cannot see the purpose in your fingerprints being taken prior to your departure.

We came we saw we were Qatarized
