Australian chef-de-mission, Poulomi Ghatak praise the Games Village
Isle of Man boxer, Dominic Winrow, praises the Games Village
NEW DELHI: Australian chef-de-mission Mr. Steve Monghetti and Indian table-tennis player Poulomi Ghatak today
praised the Games Village, saying that the facilities and security there are top class.
"We are feeling safe and secure. The environment is good in the Village and we have also talked to our High Commission. They have said there is no change in security. I wish the Games are a success. There is also transport to go to the venues. There is no problem, it's good," Monghetti said.
Ghatak said the facilities at the Village were better than the accommodation provided at the 2006 Melbourne
Commonwealth Games.
"The Games village is really very good. I don't know why people talk so negative. Rooms are nice and spacious and every room has attached bathroom, balcony, washing machine, LCD TV, etc., I liked it," she said.
"I would like to say, this time the staying condition is better than that of Melbourne in 2006. There was no air
conditioning in Melbourne and the weather was warm. This time it is better. I am feeling safe. The rooms in the village are more spacious than the Melbourne village. -PTI

or a player coming forward to say its better than Melbourne Games
