I was planning to buy a chevrolet cavalier 1999 model , run 130 kms , 2200 cc engine , grey colour automatic. the asking price is 11000 riyals.
i want to ask the forum the following questions
1) is it a good buy at the asking price?
2) cavalier production is stopped since 2005 so will i get i buyer if i intent to sell it next year ?
3) i checked in jaidah motors and they priced it at 9000 riyals , so wud it be a ok ok buy at 9000/10000 ?
4) its 2200 cc so wud it consume a lot of petrol ?
5) are chevrolet spare parts available easily and if yes then r they very costly ?
thanx if u can help me with your information.
i need the car only for 1 year till sept 2008 . so going for this one.

Hello, as far as I have experienced, American cars are not as reliable as Japanese ones, and 130,000 km are too many for a Chevrolet Cavalier. The Cavalier which I saw had started problems even after 50,000 km. The best strategy to buy a USED car is to look for Toyota/Honda/Nissan. By the way, Cavalier's fuel consumption is good.

I don't know if I'd do that. I hear the grey ones have all kinds of problems. J/K. I'd offer 8000...take it or leave it.
