Cirque Du Soleil Debut: A Radiant Performance
Cirque Du Soleil's new show, "Dralion," rocked Doha's Aspire Dome on Thursday, September 19, with it's captivating drums, brilliant exhibition of colors and a pleased crowd.
The show fuses the 3,000-year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the signature multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, while drawing inspiration from Eastern philosophies on harmony between humans and nature. The name itself represents the dragon from the East and the lion from the West.
Spectators giggled, applauded and observed in awe as the performers engaged in exhilarating acts with witty storylines.
Cirque du Soleil released six additional performances between September 26th and 28th to meet public demand.
“Ticket requests have skyrocketed. This is no surprise as last year’s Cirque du Soleil performance completely sold out” stressed Nick Grana, General Manager of SDI Marketing, the event organizer.
Performances on Friday/Saturday, September 27th and 28th, will start at 4:00pm and 7:30pm.
