| The courts in Qatar have dealt with more than 16,000 cases pertaining to dud cheques in 2010, according to the annual report released by the Qatar Statistics Authority. The report includes information on the number of judges, lawyers and cases as well as road accidents and traffic violations. The number of road accidents decreased in 2010 by 14% compared to the the previous year. Negligence and inattention to regulations were the reasons for almost half the number of accidents (47%) while 18% of them happened because of not keeping enough distance between vehicles and 17% due to overtaking. Incidents of traffic violations for which motorists were charged were as many as 432,000. |

am not sure about that.. but in this ramadan i see an accident every day.. and same was last year..they hide maximum news from media.. here media is controlled
oh so you are working at Site then. i do understand coz most of my officemates assigned in the Plant Site more or less if not all but most of them encountered an accident. but, i think the percentage of accidents this Ramadan year is low compare to last year???

well, i drive slowly and carefully, but it was not one good morning, while i was going to site, and was quiet late, in mean while there was some tik tik sound in car, when i checked, it was fire extinguisher, wich was not locked, so i went down to lock it, with out stopping the car, and boooommmm, hit the car in parking lol...and directly heard a voice from near by.. inta fe Sleep, when i looked up, found someone in arabic dress, i said yes... SO????he said i am gonna call the owner of car, i said what will be more better..any how matter was solved directly, he came, then i called police that i did mistake and case closed.... but afterthat Alhamdulillah not am trying my best to avoid any accidents...
really ingeniero??? hahahahha.... try to drive safely... but sometimes even though how you are so careful in driving, there are many drivers who does not care at all.

and i am one of those 432000 :(
432,000 is too much considering that the over all qatar population is more than 1 million only,that means almost all of the registered drivers have commited/incured accidents.as per the observations most drivers specially SUV cars are arrogant/proud/king of the road/using cp and not minding other vehicles path,its also the no. 1 cause of death and injuries here in qatar.
