Cycling to work

Mods: Please delete this thread. It's obvious that those responding here know nothing of lungis.

I recall Rizks cycling down the Corniche holding the lower part of his lungi in his teeth.

Very true WT. It would also make cycling a pleasure even during the summer season!

A wet lungi is heavy, accha, it won't go all the way up.

Problem not solved. Lungis have a tendency to go all the way up when they get filled with a gush of air flowing into them. What then? It could lead to accidents or a penalty from the cops for indecent behaviour!

The lungi seems like a more practical solution than the astronaut's suit. I mean , come on, an astronaut's suit?! In this weather? It won't work.

I just need to find a place that sells these lungis.

i tried , but its too hot during these month's . not worth it .

If the lungi is wet it will do fantastic cooling job.

Anyway, back to the topic. Rizks cycles frequently and wears a shortened lungi. he says that it aids airflow and keeps the parts cool. perhaps , you could try that.

I officially love this forum. Great ideas. must be the combination of sun, sea and sand.

Finally, you could stay at home and wait until the Metro is in operation.

You could also wear a NASA astronaut's suit which has a built in heating/cooling system.

It won't be a problem. Put a wet towel on your head while cycling. The wind will cool you. And, once you reach the office you will smell like anyone there. So, don't worry.

The roads are fine for cycling I think. The roads in London are well suited to cycling but cyclists still get hurt.

Wake up from dream dear, you are in Middle East, where outdoor weather would not support your green initiative. Be practical.

So you want to cycle to work in the heat; knowing the roads aren't really suited to cycling and with the knowledge that you will have no shower facilities at work.

I'm amazed you actually asked the question
