you always have a choose, isn't it... but when it comes to health, why risk your life and your baby???

both hospitals are well equipped... i am working in al ahli pedia ward/clinic... you try to deliver here, i gurantee your kid and health is well taken care of...if u want to know more click for al ahli's website: ahlihospital.com

you can see the lists of doctors for OBGYN and PEDIA...

congratulations

Bottle feeding is an issue at Al Ahli too. I told them MANY times to just bring him to me if he was hungry and he was constantly coming back after a vaccine or something and they would say "we just had to give him a bottle to calm him down." I was feeling like a failure then but trust me, don't sweat it because mine then went the complete opposite direction when we got home and wouldn't take a bottle to save his life!

We are going to Al Alhi in October really only because i can be present at birth. Never heard of them "forcing" c-section to boost costs - sounds more like scaremongering than anything. If you go to HMC Make sure they don't bottle feed your baby without your permission as it may not then take to normal feeding.

All the best

Sindy,

If this is your first baby your feelings and experience is going to be the same if your deliver it in Hamad or Al Ahli.

But as far as doctors are concern:

Al Ahli: You know very well in advance that Dr. Rizvi present there.

Hamad: we dont know which doctor is there in the labour room.

But, Hamad is there from ages and the deliveries took place iin Hamad, mine as well..... and it all went very well.

Dear, if you have double mind between Al Ahli and Hamad then if a small things goes wrong in Hamad you will regret.

So please goahead with Al Ahli and dont take tension. Be happy and prepare yourself to welcome a new member of your family.

You are going to get all kinds of answers with this one. It really depends on your preference. Dr. Rizvi is not going to push a c-section on you. I and my son received great care at Al Ahli and I'm using the same pediatricians still. For me the decision to deliver there was because I wanted my husband in the room with me, I wanted to be sure I had a bed, I don't speak arabic and I wanted the same doctor to be with me for the whole pregnancy and delivery. Al Ahli is great.
