Heard similar stories .. However, police sometimes make use of them to solve cases.. So, do you believe in or have used a psychic / clairvoyant ?

A multimillionaire romance novelist has testified at the trial of a con-artist psychic who allegedly defrauded her of $17million.

Ms Deveraux first sought the help of Marks in the 1990s following the death of her eight-year-old son in a motorcycle accident and in the midst of a painful divorce.

After several meetings, Marks told the writer that she would help her achieve a 'peaceful divorce' - for a fee of $1,200.

Although the author did not believe in Marks' psychic powers, she came to trust her after several of her prophecies appeared to come true.

The author was told that 'money was evil' by the psychic and would attract evil if kept in her bank account.

Marks, 62, along with other family members has been charged with defrauding $25million from clients through a network of psychic stores in Fort Lauderdale and Manhattan.

A person in Japan handed over $496,000 to the psychic readers and a man from Denmark sent about $186,000.

I don't believe in anything that has not been deduced and proved through logic yet. Some of the 'entities' that I don't believe in are..

God, Soul, Ghosts, Spirits, Re-birth, After-birth, Psychics, fortune tellers, palmists, Telepathy, Hypnotism, Clairvoyance, Magic and the like.

These are either totally fake, tricks or some aspect of nature science that has not been invented yet.

I can only predict the past and learn from my future experience...what????? that doesn't make sense, does it? So are Si-Kiks...to me they are utter rubbish.

Btw, was Nostradamus a Psychic or a fortune teller? Was he a fraud or real? What is the difference between a fortune teller and a psychic? I'm curious to know.

jude deveraux got conned? i used to read her romance novels when i was in high school. stupid of her to fall for these tricks. who the hell would believe that a psychic would be given a place at st. patrick's cathedral, much less think that it's a safe place to put one's money? she was a much better writer than the author of the fifty shades novels though.

i personally don't believe in psychics but i know many people who do. sometimes i think it's a form of hypnotism because some people get addicted to consulting them. i heard that psychics should never involve money when predicting people's fortunes or else the 'gift' will leave them and they will attract bad karma.

Yeah goosebumps here too - coincidence or truth about psychics yet he's been blessed for his life was spared.

I don't believe in psychic but I do believe in the words of God as taught in the Bible - things that has happened and are yet to come. The Alpha and Omega of our existence in this world.

Just my share of thought ...cheers to you all :)

Although i do believe that the Human mind is capable of such a thing, the people performing it for "money" are nothing but con artists. Any skilled "mentalist" can pretend to be a Psychic.

Anyway, true story..

Prior to the First Gulf war, I was in Saudi and worked with a guy who believed in psychics. One day , he came in and resigned. reason ? His psychic had told him to leave the area because there was trouble ahead. He shifted to Brazil.

Two weeks later, Iraq invaded Kuwait ...

My own auntie is one..in the past we would in jest get her to tell us stuff. For religious reasons I will not do so anymore, but I know many people who did and do in very serious matters. What they don't realize is that for every truth they may claim and get right about you they will invent a hundred lies. These people are a great trial and the evil and discord they cause are truly horrendous among their blind followers. I know families torn apart due to someone believing the words of these so called psychics and acting upon them with vengeance. And it's not just uneducated people who use these services. In SL many people will always consult their psychics before making any major moves.

I don’t believe in them...I believe in destiny and whatever happens will happen...no one can change my destiny...

They take advantage of people who are going through bad times... its easy to manipulate their mind into believing all the crap they are offering..
