Well then join the QATAR MUSICIANS group. We got our place and I'll be kicking it into high gear, hoping to do some good to y'all that beat a 'tar for fun for now, or beat any other instrument for bread later on. If you don't, never have, but wish to learn, then come along and let's share tips, tricks, and that arcane hidden knowledge, whether it is getting things to sound the way we want them, or getting ourselves to play the way we wish we could.
Everyone is welcome, everyone's opinion is appreciated, come one, come all, "ours is not a caravan of despair"! :)
i wanna badly join this group
all the punk, metal, post-punk, new wave, indie and other derivatives that I cared about...the 90's had grunge but I wasn't a fan...and now it's just same the old crap done time & again...oh I forgot the late 80's and early 90's had some cool "shoegaze" as well...that's being recycled lately too, luckily, it faded too fast under the grunge onslaught...Ialways liked the stuff that was "left of the dial"...
The 70's...era of true rock greats, and progressive overindulgence.
You can air guitar all you like flanostu :)
spandex, big hair and fog!
The 70s and 80s were the best years.. 80s had..
Chicago - Will You Still Love Me
Clash - Rock the Casbah
Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight
Duran Duran - Rio and ofcourse
Dire Straits with Sultans of Swing
Just to mention a few …
can't sleep so might as well have another beer, can i play air guitar crapcircle?
ppl say the 80's was the decade music forgot but i challenge anyone!! i remember my first kiss was with a girl with shoulder pads, hoping it wasn't a rugby player with smooth skin.
actually drac, my last concert had fog AND bats!!!!
i'm drunk, going to bed now.
am a firm believer in dry ice and smoke machines. Some will say HOW 80's...well buddy, you're rocking the wayfarers or the aviators, dayglo colours all over ya, skinny striped tee's and sh*t, the 80's are EVERYWHERE. Plus I patently disagree that smoke machines and dry ice are 80's, some great things are eternal, laser shows too!
All you need is a reefer and the fog or haze will appear instantly. Strange, but It will also make the music sound better.
the fog..the mist or the smoke from "House on Fire"?
.
musicians need to incorporate more fog into their performance.
i remember being in the front row at my last concert and whilst the performance was great, the fog made it all worth it.
