Does Qatar need to buy border land from neighbours

Qatar, the gem of Arabian Gulf is on the march towards international excellence in many fields. However its limited land resources (due to its small size) can become a stumbling block for its future progress, and perhaps it is the time to check with big neighboring countries if they can sell their adjoining border land masses to Qatar (30,000 square km of empty desert land), which could become one of the finest investments for Qatari generations to come. Baldia Salwa please explore this possibility.

It is a modern and tolerant world, where previous disputes no longer hostage the future. Future of Qatar may be towards high tech. aircraft, auto, agri framing and solar systems etc for which bigger land is needed. Just see the land scarcity of Singapore, which is now hampering their future growth.

Maybe you should read the history of fights between Saudi, UAE and Qatar about border land before posting such things.

Yes, I'm sure that Saudi Arabia will be all too willing to sell land to Qatar :O)

Qatar has a local population of 450,000 and plenty of land to do whatever it wishes.
