Apparently, having spent time working overseas is generally considered to demonstrate a number of important skills to employers.
Out of over 400 women interviewed by NatWest, over half (52 per cent) said that the experience of working overseas had exceeded their expectations.
"People find that their boundaries and minds are expanded and far more often would find ourselves in a situation where we have to live outside of our comfort zone. However, once out of the comfort zone, maybe the prospect of going it alone is now a viable option."
"This provides a great challenge and good chance for them to do what they have always wanted to do and monetise a hobby, or skill-set that was put to work for an employer previously."
Working overseas will surely exceed expectations especially when it comes to salary.. If you have worked abroad and u decide to be in your country for good and apply for a job..interviewers will surely expect you to ask for a bigger salary compared to the basic salary in your home country..
I do have to agree with Jothish, for both myself and my husband it was a huge financial leap but career/experience wise we did not advance much. I guess it depends whether you are senior/junior and the type of company you work at.
I beg to differ with Jothish. It is not just about better financial prospects but also about experience. Living in a country that is foreign to you and being able to adapt to its ways and culture is a reflection of certain skills and mindset. I'd say the poll applies to men too. Why wouldn't it?
As per my understanding , opportunities in abrode will provide some sort of savings only.
