Doha Players - Grease

I completely commend the group for their efforts. The show looked great, the people were good and it looked like a very fun experience.

well you all seem to be looking for the mistakes and missing one thing "enjoying it".

what is this a 40 years old woman acting as a college student??? Come on let it go they all did a good job just enjoy it...

Would like to see you having a go at some of the dance routines!

Absolute waste of time??? Because you wanted to waste your time by going there to not watch and enjoy the show but to critise it.

I thought it was a very good show and enjoyed it my suggestion is that the next time you do the same thing instead of shredding the performance to pieces!!

The man who sang Beauty School Dropout was amazing! So were his backing singers, fantastic.

Huge respect to all the cast though, I couldn't ever be so brave and stand up in front of all thise people.

Saw it. Enjoyed it a lot. Didn't have nightmares.

My hat is off to ANYONE who can get up in front of an audience and sing.

Geeeezuz, I mean its an absolute waste of the performance and Talent...this show was quite below par...infact the High School Musical that the ASD had a few weeks ago was a 1000 times better than this one...

understandable that is what it is like for most amatuer theatre companies. I used to be a member of one back in australia and had a blast. The company won alot of awards for their shows. I am looking to join the doha players soon.

kate_n, me think they still did a good job. They are not professional, they all have a normal full time job during the weeks :)

It is hard to watch people in their mid 40's performing as high school students, however look at the movies and TV shows that are on these days. Brad pitt in his latest movie is a good example...

Also a thing to remember is that are there many young people actually in high school or fresh out that are in a theatre company or able to act?

lol ngourlay ... I mentioned the same things to my husband. I personally enjoyed the show, it is just looks 'not right' to me looking at over 40's pretending being a high school college students.

Although me think your 'nightmare' bits are a bit over the top ... but knowing where you come from it is just typical brits sarcasm.

Fifty-year-old housewives pretending to be 17-year-old high-school students. Enough to give anyone nightmares.
