Don't understand the landlord.
I have been looking throuhg many classifieds add and when I ran into the one that has decent price it has some kind of restrictions like, the renter must purchase all the funitures and all that. The bad thing is that those furniture may be something that you do not like at all and it also come with a hefty price tag. So, why do you want to pay for something that you don't like anyway.
I just wonder, cuz I will have to move to Doha in October and don't really want to face this kind of apartment.
How does everyone else feel about this??
I have seen many compund near Villagio also. Does anyone know the name of any of them?
Thanks.
"Hi Novi....how did you know it is a plane....would have never thought of that....."
---> i mixing with too many pilot's wife :D
My husband not a pilot, but i do have some girlfriends who is a pilot's wife (their hubby are QR's pilot) :)
Hi Amnesia!
I went to school in the US and spend nearly 10 years there, but those lanlord that I have been dealing with never have restrictions to buy furnitures to be able to rent thir apartment. I guess that it's very common for landlord in Europe and Gulf area to do this then. As for Asia, they don't make you buy furniture when you want to rent an apartment or villa also. The only thing that they make you do is to make some security deposit incase that furniture become damage or something like that.
Hello novita77!
I would love to stay in the companys' compound, but I heard that the availability is pretty slim. QR tend to have their pilots stay on their own rather than in the provied compound. Only cabin crew are garanteed with companys' compound availability.
That's why I have been looking around for some apartment or villa for rent, but the price are so high.
If it's possible I would rather stay in the companys' compound to save some money. Do you also work for QR or are you a pilot?
I own my properties and condo complex facilities. In my world there is rules and laws that protect the curtomer while renting. I do expect negotiations. I personaly wont lease houses with furniture, because of the insurance liabilities. Just a barebone home with basics.
Normally when furniture is included the price are high. Its called luring for a better price. I don't know what are the laws in Qatar, but The issues of landlords and selecting a good home is 1 in billion winner for a lottery price, hoping for a good draw.
Good luck and be smart. Unless you are desperate then settle for a tent.
Seeing your job as A320, i assumed you coming to Qatar to work as a pilot for QR. Why don't you stay in QR compound? I know some pilot optioning to stay in company accommodation because they did not get enough allowance.
its common around the world.
Well in the UK anyway
