Drink and Drugs in Compound

time2go
By time2go

I was made aware yesterday about the above problem in our compound.
supposedly, a group of teenagers (some were residents of the compound, some were not) were sat in the club house with bottle of beers, smoking drugs, and also using needles to inject themselves! There was mixed girls and boys, and they were also cuddling and kissing in the clubhouse for everyone to see!
The problem was raised to security, and i think there was big argument, but no police were called.
The compound managers (La Villa) were also notified.

I find this appalling behaviour. Should i report to police, and is there any way i can get out of my contract for the compound now, as i do not want my children around this sort of behaviour.

yes, it was last wednesday if it is the same place. i saw it also. there were some very heated arguments, and a lot of staff from the compound management were there. there was a nice collection of beer bottles (real beer!) and they were playing very loud music also.

The police were not there when i drove past, but i understand they were called.

There was a lot of shouting and arguments, but not sure what the outcome was.

Who am i...............do you live in the compound also?

meeting with all the homeowners of the compound regarding this situation.

request roving security 24/7 near the clubhouse.

if the situation calls for the police then call them.

as for your get out of your contract sit,you may have a bigger problem with that.

I find it hard to believe that people are openly shooting up and smoking drugs but if they are then the police should be called,

I would allow my kids to inject!

it is far safer than snorting etc,

do you know the harm that cocaine does to the inner lining of your nose? all the acid and chemicals it is cut with eats the skin away,

so injecting is far better for the youth of today!

spread that! lol

I dont think so...this kids or whoever wouldnt dare to do it in the reach of eyes to see, maybe they are just noisy and because they are mix, the person annoyed to their behavior pressumed they are consuming something...and doing nasty things. If it is true, Qataries or not Qataries are subject to questionings and prosecution...there is no above the law here when it comes to drugs and alchohol.

This is hearsay. What proof do you have?

Or, does the police answer calls about rumors?

Qatari's or non-Qatari's. If drugs were involved, call authorities. Not that it is any of our business, but for the safety and well-being of the people doing it.

Its natural that the compound management would not want the Police involved. It could lead to investigations and evn firings.

No, i was not a witness, but heard the story off 2 seperate sources. 1 of which contatced la villa, who then came on site to try and sort the problem.

Stone cold - you think the police wouldn't do anything if it was Qatari kids using drugs?

doing this openly in the compound clubhouse. The drinking alone, let alone the smoking and injecting drugs.

You said you were "made aware" of and "supposedly" ....sounds like you were not the actual witness to such events. I would suggest keeping an eye on things for now, and finding the person who actually saw it happen (and can verify that they were drinking REAL beer and not the non-alcoholic stuff, that they weren't just smoking cigarettes, for example, or goofing around with someone's insulin needles, making it appear like they were injecting drugs).

People here are quick to jump to conclusions with little evidence (and most of that is circumstantial). I would caution you to gather FACTS before creating a huge incident.

I completely understand your desire not to have your family near elements like this, but I am doubtful of the story.

I think the problem should be addressed to the compound management first. If it persists , then you have to take it to teh authorities or move out.

Thats serious. By the way why not call the police when the event is on going for any arrest, lets hope. If they are group of Qatari youth, then forget about it.
