.. Drunkard on board ..

Folks ,

Time and again we hear and see so many incidents of unruly men on board the planes . It's serious and life threatening consequences for the hundreds of passengers . Keep watch when you travel , inform the crew if you suspect anything like that at the earliest . Why can't they control this bad habit for a few hours till they land ! It is totally avoidable .

In one recent incident in US , One drunken airline passenger groped three women before air marshals handcuffed him and the London-bound plane turned back to Philadelphia.

A report says two women seated near Coppack complained about him on Tuesday's overnight flight, prompting the crew to steer him toward the back of the plane. The report says he then groped a retired flight attendant as he walked down the aisle.

That drunk fellow is charged with intimidating a crew member. .

Airways spokesperson says the flight eventually arrived at Heathrow, about four hours late.

Criminals often give justification for their acts , but they must recognise that it is no more a forest now .. social values have risen to the higher level . Can't they see the other decent living things around them ? .. .............. Fri , 16.05.2014 , 07.35 hrs

I never knew that Moroccans just go around and hit people hard in the balls. Is it all Moroccans? Or just men, or just women? I'll be careful to not talk to Moroccans in the future, since they are predisposed to ball-hitting. Thanks for the advice Boxbe.

Why make a racist remark about violent Moroccans? How does that help the discussion?

Some of the mid-air mayhem is definitely hard to ignore.I fly pretty often and I've seen a couple of problems during flights. In each instance the flight attendants handled the problem quietly and professionally. The problem is you are dealing with people, and too many of them either have no class or respect or they feel the need to be noticed. I always fly QA and their employees are always wonderful. My sympathys to those that have to deal with jerks in a closed in area.Sober or not, some are unruly riders.

I'm making the point that is obvious to normal people - sick men do things to women whether they are drunk or not. As for the issue of alcohol on planes - my elderly mother frequently travels alone on Emirates, where there is alcohol, and is not scared and has never felt she should be. Airlines will NEVER stop serving alcohol, so either get over it, or don't fly with the ones who do.

Who? The drunk guy? I assume so, although there are a lot of reports of men doing things to women when they aren't drunk. Maybe he is just a pervert, like the guys that hang out at Aspire Park or on The Pearl. They aren't drunk but still do horrible things to women in this country.

I'm not sure I understand your position Boxbe. First you say "ban all alcohol onboard". And then you say "alcohol drinking fine". If certain people don't like alcohol being consumed on a plane, they have the choice to: walk, drive, cruise, OR fly on a plane that has no alcohol. And to answer your question - if someone misbehaved toward a female relative on a flight, it would be no different to whether the same thing happened in a bar, or a restaurant, or at a football match - the culprit is detained by the airport staff and then arrested when the plane lands. The only way to ensure that female relatives are never molested is to lock them in the house and never let them leave. I know that idea is attractive to some of the users on QL, but in my family we live our lives without fearing the big bad boogey man lurking around the corner and on planes. On any given day there are hundreds of thousands of flights all over the world, and in a given year we hear one or two stories like this one. You would be more likely to be killed in a car accident in Doha than to be molested by a drunk on a plane.
