Egypt goes Kosher
Well at least according to the following news on Haaretz.com. Whether it is Kosher news or not, only God Knows!

How many cans of worms are going to be opened? How many more strange stories we will hear?
For sure, I am against that Coup d'Etat on a matter of principle. A democratically elected government is taken over by the military. And no Govt condemned it. This is democratically wrong. Egyptians will regret this. They should have given more time to the man they voted in. Anyway, the future will tell. Or may be Egyptians are not used or ready to/for democracy yet.I just feel worried the impact this coup will have on the Egyptians. I wonder if those millions of protesters will be happy now or in the near future. I foresee more protests in the next few months, unless the above news in Haaretz is true.
Brit, power or no power is not absolutely important. I am looking at the symbolic gesture here.
By the way both you & Sulie guessed very well which country would grant asylum to Snowden.( that was another post I posted few days ago).
I will not say much
But what happened in Egypt needs months to be done in this way, I don't think it is that simple.
So i think there could be another hands have been shaken behind the scenes, but can't be sure which hands !!!
And what real power does the African union have ?
None!
The fact is that the GCC countries which have a major financial influence on Egypt are going along with what has happened..
African Union had the guts to call a spade a spade in this scenario. Can the same be said of the so called champions from west to east. Shame on all of these countries.
As a political analyst aptly put it, ''Mursi was an accidental president...''
Gene, improve your knowledge - egyptians were never with Mubarak and that is the reason some politically driven have shown impatience not all. Mubarak was a dictator and friend of allies (because of whom you are here in muslim world) who held him in office for reasons.
What took Hosni Mubarak too long to destroy can't be rebuilt in a few years. First of all, the reason why Mubarak stayed for too long is because Egyptians followed him for so long and now they lost patience with Morsi, the man they voted to replace the dictator.
I can't understand why, the patience of Egyptians were gone when they allow Mubarak to role them for too long!
First impact of the Coup: Egypt out of the African Union.

After ready this news from NY Times, I am thinking may be the above news from Haaretz was true, after all.
