England football team PR

In an effort to get the threads concerning this game up to 90, I'll add mine. Not only is the country (England)in a mess, it would seem that the protacol machines wheels are in danger of falling off as well as far as the footie team is concerned!! Who the hell do these no marks think they are??? Not only do they have the audacity to send a scratch side for an A listed friendly (how it is being billed) and undermine both their opponents and their hosts and the 60000 of us who had laid out cash (albeit tax free) to watch this saturday night stroll about, but they have disrespected the English supporters who have traveled overnight last night into the middle of nowhere and will do the return journey again tonight who will have laid over a grand (GBP) for the priviledge -and yes I know no one forced them to come but I doubt whether as many would have made the trip had they known a C string team would take the park. England, the country and the football team - PR disaster area.

It is true that Rooney himself is worth the 150 entrance - fact!! No, it is a mid season friendly and so by prescedent, there was no way a "full strength" side was going to be fielded and even if the starting line up ressembled something akin to his SA 2010 side, by minute 47, it would have become farcical anyway -subs!! What IS true however is that there will be a lot of talent on the field tonight desperate to make and take the opportunity with an eye on the afore mentioned 2010 and thats a positive to take from the game. Anyhooo Im off to Megamart for a Chinese take away.....
