Fake doctor?

Might be a nice idea to publish his name?
Source ::: The Peninsula
Doha: A foreign doctor has been accused of illegal practice after he fraudulently obtained a licence from the Ministry of Health by presenting fake certificates and documents, reports Al Sharq. The doctor can no longer practice in his home country where his licence was annulled a couple of years back, and was banned from practising his profession. A private clinic in Doha, of which the doctor has applied to work for, discovered his fake certificates. After looking into his background at his home country, the clinic found that he was no longer allowed to practice his profession there. The doctor who came to Qatar without a licence had consulted patients at his home, and even performed surgeries at some private clinics illegally. He stopped doing surgeries at a private clinic after he was asked to hand in the proper documents; However, he moved to other clinics to pursue his practice. According to sources the doctor is still treating patients even though he has been banned by the court in Qatar after a case was brought against him at the local court.

The "Supreme Council of Health" (formerly the NHA) last week contracted with a company to do primary source verification of the credentials of all medical professionals....from physios, to dentists, to nurses, and physicians. I suspect that some will squeeze by this via the Wasta process but it will liekly help. This will effect first those who first apply and then those who are already licensed will have a look back at their records when they renew their license.

Loose your mind and find your heart.

Yes, you think that one could jail a person for fraud seeing that he is a danger to society at large.

This is a crime. I don't understand how he is flagged in the legal system as a fake impersonator, and still has a practice in Qatar?

How come he's not suspended charged then deported? it ticks me off that the article suggests he is still working on HUMANS!

He should at least be suspended, until the case is ruled into.

The sad thing is that these Quacks find a ready market because of the inability of the lower paid to afford private health insurance .

Another reason is that many nationalities feel more comfortable when being treated by their own countrymen.

The authorities should have been firmer with this individual and should have either deported him/her or incarcerated him / her.

for people who lie on CVs etc. Thank God. People are being weeded out and those that have lied will pay.

sometimes back there was a post about someone recommended a dentist that apparently this dentist have been blacklisted to practice in the UK.

There are lots of fake engineers here in Qatar, my husband responsible to do some 'choosing' from the subcontractor. I wont be surprise it would be the same case with doctors/dentists or whatever else.
