Brother and sisters,Yes, Hyatt Plaza could go ahead and donate the money without organizing a program and really they are not asking you to donate any money, but instead all you hav to do is to fast and attend an iftar party (Food and drinks will be served for free) at the mall. By fasting not only are you experiencing a way of a Muslims life rather you will also feel what the Somalians feel without food or water. This is a good cause and the only gain here is for the Somalians.

Why don't they just give the money straight to the Somalians?  Wouldn't that be real charity?

What will Hyatt Plaza gain from this? Since they paying from their own pockets for the donation to Somalia as well they are hosting so many people to dine at their restaurant..
