Female human bombs in Mid East

cryogenic
By cryogenic

Just saw a programme on Al Jazeera on female human bombs in Palestine.

It was very sad and disturbing to watch what was being told on TV.

Typical sensationalism and yellow journalism pitting one nation against another and one race against another.

What was shocking and more disturbing was the fact that the TV journalist was almost encouraging and glorifying this.

Al Jazeera, try as it might, is mainly viewed as being the mouthpiece of terrorists.

By telecasting such programmes the already vitiated atmosphere is being further poisoned.

Is this called stirring the @#$%?

Such programmes glorify these human bombs but are always silent on what happens to those forgotten families of the human bombs once they kill themselves.

Are the husbands happy? Are the kids happy about such actions?

And even after several suicide bombings peace doesnt seem to be anywhere in sight. So why encourage someone to kill herself? Cant she live and see peace someday rather than kill herself and others in the process and hope for peace?

At times I feel the world would be better off without these 24 hour news channels. I include CNN and BCC too not just the Al Jazeera.

its never too late eco savvy.

what are the other possible endings....

continue fighting till finances run out (iran iraq)

or till the palestenians really irritate the israelis enough to get nuked in return.(...WW2)

remember israel often acts unilaterally and is answerable only to its people and to a lesser extent the usa.

peace talks etc etc however cliche they may seem and non violence is the only way out as i see it.

What I mean by Corporate corruption is an America Company knew for 10 years their product was killing people but did and does nothing!  Much like the movie Michael Clayton.  As Americans companies are not liable to tell the public if their product kills people, I tried to pass a bill on this in Texas but the lobbyists paid our politicans to take a lovely Carribean vacation and the bill went out the window so still Americans have no protection be it a crib, a car, a drug etc.

Its obvious the Palestinans cannot help themselves as they are too splintered now, a proxy war is going on.

The company continues to kill and no once can stop them due to how rich a company it is.  My daughter was 17 years old when she died and the company responsible for her death had the nerve to say her life was worth nothing as she didn't yet have a career so it was valueless. Think how long the Palestinians have been suffering without much empathy from anyone.  The media brands the good guys and the bad guys and due to the suicide bombings the Palesinians are deemed the bad guys even though they are the victims, how much can they be expected to tolerate before they break, even the American troops coming back from Iraq come back with mental problems and kill and look at how short a time they have been affected by useless violence?  It does make someone crazy  Post Traumatic Stress

only one person in the world has succesfully resolved a conflict through non violence...a man called MK GANDHI.though his principles werent always strictly followed, i do believe in retrospect he did save a lot of lives.

maybe the palestenians could take a leaf out of his book..its called "my experiments with truth"

I was at these debates they are on TV right now and tomorrow.  I have lost a daughter to corporate corruption and believe me as a human being you do have feelings of revenge, but as a moral human being I won't do it but if I was forced to live it daily maybe I would be changed.

I agree with you Eve, although suicide bombing is not the answer, i cant even imagine what those mothers are going through. I know i will do anything to protect my kids and may god help and ease their pain, its an awful predicament that they are in...

i do believe that this edition of doha debates on the bbc deals with the topic ""are the palestenians their own worst enemy""

due for telecast either tonight or tomorrow i guess.

but eve while all this is food for thought..one wonders how a solution could come about.

But I understand their frustrations, obviously its not helping their cause but most are emotionally and mentally messed up after waiting for years for help from the international community, so they take justice they think is correct into their own hands.  I prefer a perfect world but its not what we have and never will have.  Today a bunch of Palestinian kids were slaughtered try being their mother and think you would not do the same.

Who among us that have not suffered the way the Palestinians have can judge their actions.  They watch their young, old, sick, and pregnant die at the borders trying to get help, they watch their young shot walking home from school, they watch their water stolen and their crops die, they watch their homes destroyed, their youth imprisoned and wantonly shot for no reason and anyone who come to help gets killed.  I heard it best one day A PALESTINIAN WOULD RATHER CHOOSE THE DAY OF THEIR DEATH THAN HAVE IT BE TAKEN FOR NOTHING  Until we walk one day in their life of hell with no one in the world caring then you can judge their actions. Especially since their is no justice and doubt their ever will be since the chrisitans of America now think that Jesus will not return until all the Jews return to Israel, my husband suggested a timeline, yeah like Israel will give back one inch of what they have taken by force, yeah right!

if suicide is so wonderful then why hasn't Sadr, Bin Laden or the other leaders committed suicide? They always use the weak and the poor to do their bidding. It is all just to feed their ego. This includes the westerners also. Keep the world in a turmoil and they can control us and make more laws for "our own good"
