I saw a lot of black smoke coming from presumably the Landmark area this afternoon. Firetrucks and police were rushing by...does anybody know what happened?
Yesterday, I was on Shamal Road off of Madinat Khalifa where we saw the smoke. Traffic was backed up for over an hour. I was later told a car was on fire and they were closing out lanes to put it out.
It happened at fareej al soudan near al waab area, reason of the fire was not yet identified.
There was a temporory build wooden outhouse in a residential compound which was completed in fire, this accident may cause to swallow 3 more villas near by where more than 50 people living, but within 5 minutes civil defence fire fighters came to take place and help public to vacate safely. We could see the women and children were standing out without knowing what happening and what to do. Civil defence fire fighters didn’t take more than half an hour to stop the fire; finally they informed residents to back their home, now you are safe! Thank goodness and hearty congratulations to all of civil defence team, we salute you guys

I guess that wasn't true...
should come out and take responsibility .. there should be 4 hrs class for 'her / him' on preventive measures to avoid the repetition.

^Yeah, I saw that too. I can't say what area it was coming from, but there was a mushroom of thick black smoke coming out of somewhere.
Errrmmm,I kind of figured that there was a fire...actually. But where was it, and what was burning?
There was a fire causing the smoke and firetrucks were rushing to extinguish the fire that was causing the smoke.
