Fire in Najma area
Apparently a warehouse in the Najma area caught fire just before 8am. I happened to pass by the area but could not get close. The photo was captured while waiting at traffic lights near crazy signal. The civil defense had not reached there until then. By the time I was about to leave, an ambulance was approaching the scene and a few minutes later lahkwya police cars were rushing towards the area. The thick black smoke could be seen from miles away. I could not take a proper photo as my view was obstructed and I was driving. I just hope there are no casualties.
whats with all the fires is there a need to fire safety concerns and procedures in Qatar. Are things over heating i.e. air conditioning. just wondering who does the gas and electricity safety checks on buildings including homes?
i hope no one get's injured and safe.

A fire broken out amongst furniture and building material shops this morning at Souq Al-Haraj in the Najma neighborhood of Doha.
Witnesses first reported seeing smoke billowing over the area just after 8am.
The Ministry of Interior said there were no casualties caused by the blaze, which affected at least three shops at the souq (also known as the second hand market). Civil Defense firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by 9:45am or so.
