The fire was at one of buildings under construction in Vivah Bahriya district of the Pearl away from residential and recreational areas.

The fire is under control. 10 workers have been rescued so far and they are in good healthy condition. Remaining are being rescued.

According to the MOI : 32 workers have been rescued till now. The remaining are people are in good condition and are being brought down.

i work at Pearl Qatar, just went there, the incident was at Viva Bahrainiya, unfortunately, i cannot enter to the site!

it was not a small fire as smoke is still going up. but luckily no one is injured and it was under control after short time.
i dont believe something fishy or other conspiracies , they have lots of stored materials there on construction site which burns easily.
7 pm only! Something fishy! The risk of working on high-rise buildings. I'm used to it.
small or big fire still threatens safeness of every lives around. Every body should be vigilant and aware this time as the temperature is getting hotter every day.

it's not a small fire and not empty construction. Have you seen the picatures? About 50 labourers there, on the upper floors... MOI is reportedly evacuating these people. there are 15 ambulances and helicopters around.
Just a small fire under an empty construction site and I believe it was put out real quick this time around. Accidents at such sites cn happen anytime nothing to be sh-tting ur pants abt (:

another things how the officials deal with that.. hopefully that one in Pearl won't leave an awful long tail of numerous victims, as the previous one..

Frightening news again..Allahu Must3aan! I'm really not one into conspiracy theories and what not but this is just too much to grasp. So many fires in such a short time period.. what is happening? God have mercy on those poor trapped workers and keep us all safe..Aameen!

That just leaves a major (Western) hotel and a major (Western) compound and they've done the lot.

It's a big one. Choppers buzzing overhead. Construction workers are trapped in a tower at viva bahriya.
Hope those poor construction workers are safe!

Yes, one of the towers in the construction zone is ablaze. 15 ambulances so far,apparently a crane is rescuing workers from the roof of the tower.
